Nursery Owner
Hi, I’m Sue. I have proudly owned and lead The Old Fire Station nursery for the past 10 years, with a clear vision of creating a small, welcoming setting where every child feels safe, valued and inspired to learn. I am equally passionate about supporting the nursery team, I believe that when staff feel valued, supported, and happy within their roles, they are able to provide the highest quality care and education for the children. My commitment to both children and staff is at the heart of everything I do, helping to create a warm, caring nursery community where everyone can flourish.

Hi, I am Sophie. I have dedicated my career to early years education, staring from the age of 15 all the way to today. I hold a Level 4 qualification alongside a Foundation Degree in Children’s Learning and Development, allowing myself to bring both extensive experience and a strong academic background to my role. I also took a year out to care for children abroad in both Lapland and Ibiza, this really allowed me to gain valuable international experience and broaden my understanding of different cultures and approaches to childcare. I am passionate about outdoor learning and creating engaging, nuturing environments where the children can explore, develop confidence and thrive. In my personal time I enjoy spending time with my daughter, partner, friends and family.

Hi, I am Kellie. I have worked in early years childcare since leaving school and I hold a Level 3 Qualification. As our nurseries dedicated Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO), I am passionate about ensuring every child receives the support they need to flourish. I am committed to promoting inclusion, celebrating each child’s
unique strengths, and creating an environment where all children feel valued, supported, and are able to reach their full potential. In my personal time I enjoy spending quality time with my three sons, husband and walking our family dogs.
